Cookies

Personal information is collected when you access and/or contact DERP through MyDERP.org, which is a members-only secure site. When you create your personal account in MyDERP.org you will need to provide personal information about yourself so that you can access and manage your account. This information includes, but is not limited to:
- Beneficiary Information
- Name
- Date of birth
- Social Security Number
- Telephone Numbers
- Email Address
- Relationship to Member
- Health insurance choices
Certain areas and features of the website are available to you without registration or the need to provide any information to DERP. However, to view member specific information you need to provide a login ID and password (Registration Information). Access to your Registration Information is strictly restricted to DERP employees and contractors working on behalf of DERP who are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Sharing of Information
Any information supplied is considered private and will not be made available to others for any purpose. DERP is the sole owner of any personal information collected and does not sell, share, rent or otherwise distribute any of this information.
User Responsibilities
It is your responsibility to protect your MyDERP.org User ID and password because they allow you to securely access your account information.
DERP strongly recommends the following:
- Do not disclose your MyDERP.org User ID and password to anyone.
- Do not place your MyDERP.org User ID and password in an accessible location.
- Do not leave the computer unattended while logged on.
- Always log-off MyDERP.org when you are done.
Notify DERP immediately if an unauthorized person obtains access to your MyDERP.org User ID and password or if unauthorized activity is discovered.
It is your responsibility to carefully review your account information and to immediately contact DERP if you believe there is a discrepancy.
Access to your account information is for your convenience. DERP may restrict or discontinue your account access at any time and without notice.
We are not responsible for the use or disclosure of any personal information accessed by any company or person to whom you provide your MyDERP.org User ID and password. If you provide your MyDERP.org User ID and password to a third-party, we will consider that you have authorized all transactions or actions initiated by such access information you provide, whether or not you were aware of a specific transaction or action.

Our site provides links to other websites. We provide these links as a service to our members at our discretion. When you follow a link to an external site, you are leaving DERP.org. If you email us and include personal information, we may use that information in responding to your request. Email is not a secure platform. Information passed through email can be intercepted by third parties. For this reason, you should not communicate personal information (e.g. account information, Social Security number, etc.) via an email. Any request for information that requires DERP to respond with confidential information will be responded to, in writing, at the last known street address that DERP has on file for the member. DERP will not respond to the email request via an email response if it is not necessarily secure or confidential.
Although DERP strives to respond to email inquiries as soon as possible, DERP makes no guarantee, either expressed or implied, as to the timeliness of its response to email nor does it assume any legal liability or responsibility for the consequences resulting from action taken by recipients of email replies.

Security of DERP.org and MyDERP.org
