The Denver Employees Retirement Plan (DERP) received the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awards for our Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and our Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for the year ended December 31, 2021.
We’ve earned the GFOA award for the ACFR for 33 consecutive years and the PAFR award for the past three years.
What is an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report or ACFR?
The ACFR provides financial, investment, actuarial, statistical, and other related information about DERP and the pension plan we administer. It provides assurance we are in compliance with applicable legal provisions. DERP has received the GFOA award for the ACFR for 33 consecutive years.
What is a Popular Annual Financial Report or PAFR?
The PAFR supplements the ACFR and is written in a simple and easy-to-understand format to keep readers without a background in finance or accounting informed in a non-technical format. The report contains trending data, graphs, charts, and visual elements to summarize financial, investment, and member information.
