The Denver Employees Retirement Plan (DERP) released its 2020 Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) for the fiscal year-ended December 31, 2020. The report is available on DERP.org on the Report page in the About section.

The PAFR supplements the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and is written in a simple, easy-to-understand, non-technical format. We use trending data, graphs, charts, and visual elements to summarize financial, investment, and member information. Popular annual financial reports play an important role in making financial information accessible to our members, City and County of Denver leadership, and other interested parties who may be challenged by more detailed traditional financial reports.

The PAFR is not an audited document and does not include details or disclosures required by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). It is not intended to present a complete financial picture. It is intended to keep readers without a background in finance or accounting informed in a simple and non-technical format.

Additionally, we are pleased to announce the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) awarded DERP the Popular Annual Financial Reporting Awards Program certificate for our 2019 report. Our 2019 PAFR was the first time we prepared and submitted a report to GFOA and we are proud to receive this award.
